John Lehr

Pitch Coach

John Lehr has over 20 years experience in Hollywood writing, performing, producing, hosting, and pitching a wide variety of projects. He is one of the original Geico Cavemen from the wildly successful commercial campaign. He has appeared in numerous television series, including “Friends,” and was a series regular on “Jesse,” both for Warner Brothers/NBC. His feature film roles include “The Sweetest Thing,” and three Noah Baumbach films, “Kicking and Screaming,” “Mr. Jealousy,” and “Highball.” Lehr starred in “10 Items or Less,” from Sony on TBS for three seasons and recently starred in Hulu’s original comedy western “Quickdraw” for two seasons. Lehr also co-created, wrote, and executive produced both series.

John understands that sometimes a dream requires a team. As a coach, he provides a one-on-one experience for people who want to get their foot in the door or simply take their career to the next level. His talents lie in identifying a point of view, finding out what his clients do best and what makes their project unique, and then combining those ideas and strengths into a complete package that can be pitched or sold.

A recovering alcoholic and former drug addict, John is a seasoned monologist and comedian who speaks openly about his twenty plus years of sobriety. He knows firsthand what it’s like to overcome barriers that stand in the way of reaching your goals.

John is married to author Jennifer Lehr with whom he has two children. The Lehrs reside in Los Angeles.
